Das New Yorker Duo paris_monster schließt mit seinem Beatgetriebenen und mit Funk- und Soul-Elementen versehenen Sound eine Lücke zwischen Synthesizer-Rock und Garage. Ihr Groove-basierter Funk und Soul vereint sich mit lyrischem Gespür, das im krassen Gegensatz zu stampfenden Grooves und elektronischen Beats steht.
Josh Dion, der durch seine musikalische Akrobatik an Drums, Snyth und Gesang zum viralen Internet-Star aufgestiegen ist, hat 2019 zusammen mit Geoff Kraly am Bass & Synth seine erste LP „Lamplight“ veröffentlicht. 2024 wird das zweite Album erscheinen, das sie im November auch in Europa auf Tour vorstellen werden.
