Chart-Stürmer aus Schottland begeistern mit ihrem Spektrum aus Singer/Songwriting von heute und dem archaischen Klang urschottischer Instrumente Dienstag, 29. Oktober 2024 Beginn 20:00 Uhr Einlass 19:00 Uhr
Der Sound von Skerryvore ist so atemberaubend wie die Insel Tiree im Westen Schottlands, von der die Bandmitglieder stammen. Ihr energiegeladener Trad Rock mit Fiddle, Akkordeon, Flutes, Gitarre und Bagpipe vereint Abwechslung und Intensität auf einem höchst professionellen Level. Bass und Drums setzen funkige Akzente. Aber auch die Schönheit der Schottischen Highlands ist in Skerryvores Musik klar zu erkennen, verkörpert durch die wunderbare Stimme von Frontmann Alec Dalglish, der sich auch für die meisten Songs verantwortlich zeichnet. Das hat der Band schon mehrere Preise eingebracht wie z.B. 2 x "Live Act of the Year" (STMA 11 + 16). 2025 wird das Oktett sein 20jähriges Jubiläum feiern. Im Mai 2023 und auch Dezember 2020 stürmten die Skerries mit einer Single an die Nr. 1 der Schottischen Charts. 2023 und 2021
