Band of Friends
Die Band of Friends ist keine Tribute-Band im herkömmlichen Sinne sondern die Begleitband des viel zu früh verstorbenen irischen Gitarristen Rory Gallagher mit Gästen. Bassist Gerry McAvoy spielte von 1971-1991 mit Bluesrock-Legende Rory Gallagher und gründete 2012 die Band Of Friends. Am Schlagzeug wird er von Brendan O´Neill begleitet. Auch er spielte zusammen mit Rory Gallagher (1981-1991) und trat später der britischen R&B-Band Nine Below Zero bei. Hier lebt Rorys Geist weiter, vor allem auch mit Supertalent und leidenschaftlichem Gallagher-Anhänger Davy Knowles an der Gitarre.
