Als die 17­jährige Sofia kurz vor einem zukunftsweisenden Meisterschaftsspiel ihres Volleyballteams aus São Paulo erfährt, dass sie schwanger ist, entschließt sie sich, die Schwangerschaft abzubrechen. Ein Vorhaben, das angesichts der brasilianischen Gesetzgebung, die Abtreibungen kriminalisiert, fast unmöglich erscheint. Im konservativen Umfeld der Bolsonaro­-Ära sieht Sofia sich fortan Angriffen evangelikaler Fundmentalist*innen ausgesetzt. Halt und Unterstützung findet sie in dieser Zeit in ihrem FLINTA* Volleyballlteam.
