Der 5-fach Grammy-prämierte Pianist und Komponist Bill Laurance verbindet scheinbar mühelos die unterschiedlichsten musikalischen Stile.
Ursprünglich ausgebildetener klassischer Pianist, stellt Laurance als Gründungsmitglied von Snarky Puppy seit vielen Jahren seine einzigartige Kreativität und Improvisationsfreude unter Beweis.
“A Jazz Maestro” The Guardian
Seine vielfältige Arbeit umfasst Werbekompositionen für Apple, Filmsoundtracks wie "Un Traductor" (2018) und Kooperationen mit renommierten Ensembles wie der WDR Big Band und dem Metropole Orkest.
Im Frühjahr 2023 hat Laurance gemeinsam mit Michael League das hochgelobte Album "Where You Wish You Were" (ACT Music) veröffentlicht.
In 2024 folgte dann mit "Bloom" sein ACT-Debüt als Leader auf dem Laurance einen Wandel vollzieht von der kleinstmöglichen Form musikalischer Interaktion zum Breitbildformat. Gemeinsam mit dem 18-köpfigen Streichorchester The Untold Orchestra entsteht hier ein Werk mit einer enormen Bandbreite an Emotionen und Stimmungen.
