Die hohe Kunst des Songwritings – bei Minor Cabinet steht sie im Mittelpunkt. Wurde die Krefelder Band nach ihrem Debüt „Black Ink On White Sheets“ noch voreilig in der Bluesrock-Ecke positioniert, tun sich nach zahlreichen Umbesetzungen heute ganz neue Möglichkeiten und Horizonte auf. Das 2020 erschienene Album „Another Shine of Love” sprudelt nur so vor Ideenreichtum, verliert dennoch den roten Faden nicht. Man mag die Musik von Minor Cabinet mit dem Label „Alternative“ versehen, doch wirklich gerecht wird man der Band damit nicht. Die hohe Kunst des Songwritings: Auch live entwickelt sie eine unwiderstehliche Kraft.
