100 % unbegrenzte Freiheit und pures Leben. Eine große Reise um die Welt ohne zeitlichen Horizont und ohne festes Ziel. Die erste Etappe führte Martin Leonhardt auf abenteuerlichen Wegen mit dem Motorrad durch Südamerika. Bildgewaltig, spannend, äußerst kurzweilig und emotional – so erzählt der Fotograf seine Geschichte. Die Fahrt ist geprägt von großer Spontanität und unerwarteten Ereignissen, hunderten Nächten in freier Natur, zufälligen Begegnungen und der stetigen Neugier, fremde Länder und seine Menschen zu verstehen. Vom Atlantik zum Pazifik, von 0 auf 6000 Meter, von eiskalt bis tropisch heiß. Im verrückten Zickzackkurs verstreichen die Jahre. Und das alles nur, um nach 100.000 Kilometern und 3,5 Jahren festzustellen, dass die große Reise eigentlich erst begonnen hat.
