Quand une cérémonie de mariage, orchestrée par un prêtre à la folie communicative, tourne au règlement de comptes entre futurs époux.Marc et Sophie, en couple depuis sept ans, ont décidé de franchir un cap en se mariant. Sophie, de famille très conservatrice, veut absolument un mariage traditionnel et religieux.Marc, cartésien, réfute l'idée de la religion et voudrait un mariage simple et purement civil.Mais Sophie est intransigeante. Elle organise, peu avant le mariage, une répétition de la cérémonie religieuse dans l'Église de sa paroisse.Marc s'y rend contraint et forcé. Le père Augustin sera le maître de la cérémonie.Mais ce prêtre délirant va transformer la répétition en un champ de bataille...
