Welcome to the West Coast Swing Beginner's Crash Course!
Ready to dip your toes into the world of West Coast Swing? Join us at the Bellevue First United Methodist Church for a fun-filled complete crash course designed for beginners. Whether you're new to dancing or looking to brush up on your skills this event is perfect for you!
The instructors will guide you through all five basic patterns (Left Side Pass Right Side Pass Sugar Push Sugar Tuck and Whip) of West Coast Swing so you can hit the dance floor with confidence. No partner or prior experience necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and shoes that allow you to turn!
Don't miss this opportunity to learn a new dance style in its foundational entirety and meet fellow dance enthusiasts. Come join us and let's swing into action together!

7 PM - 7:50 PM: Workshop 1 (Left Side Pass Right Side Pass Sugar Push)
8 PM - 9 PM: Workshop 2 (Sugar Tuck Whip)
9 PM - 10 PM: Guided Practice

Admissions
Workshop 1 and 2 + Guided Practice: $25
Admissions will be accepted at the door as well.
Accepted payment methods at the door: Cash or Venmo
If you participate in Workshop 1 only you are entitled to a $15 cash refund at the end of the workshop. If you participate in Workshop 2 onward you are entitled to a $10 cash refund.
NOTE
There is no religious affiliation. We are only using the venue.
FAQ
Do I need to wear special shoes?
There is no shoe restriction. However to reduce the risk of injury high heels and grippy sneakers are not recommended. While dance shoes are not required shoes that will allow you to turn or pivot will do wonders.
Can I bring a date?
You can bring whoever you wish! Partners are not required. If it's your date night great! In fact rather than rotating through the partners the two of you can stay together the whole night!
